A Fabulous 50's Christmas 12/1/17

Nostalgia. That is what "A Fabulous 50's Christmas" at the Towle Theater brings. For those of us who remember, it is an escape to what seems a simpler family life than what we have today. At least to me it does. For those not familiar, you see the importance of holidays for people getting together, singing with friends and family. So let this show jump start your holidays for you. Go see.

Let us not forget about the commercials of the time. To a great extent they were point blank with the problem, and how your problem could be solved. No beating around the bush about it. Serious business then, and a bit comical now, so feel free to laugh when you find it so.

I have to apologize to the cast and staff, and to those viewing this blog, for having to leave before the end. There was more that I did not photograph. No worries though because Rita Anthony agreed to be the backup photographer and was able to take more photographs. Her work will be submitted to the Theater.

greenCOW Coworking

Having a lot of photographs at greenCOW Coworking in Hammond, IN, I was asked to come and support them during the City of Hammond 10th annual Holiday Kickoff Celebration to photograph their open to the public event. I did not know what that exactly meant, however I did get to see "A Christmas Story" three times! That was exciting because I have never watched it from beginning to end before. Just parts of it.

Friends were there, like artist Gary L Price, who's work you can either buy in person, or through his Etsy site. Besides friends there, the community was welcomed to walk through and to stop and play some games and to make things. Me, I ate the cookies.

Here are some photographs I took. Mostly of Gary because I enjoy his art. I do own a few pieces . . .

If you are starting your business, need some space to start out at, need some help with growing your entrepreneurial business, greenCOW Coworking may be the place for you. Check them out!
