Paul Henry's Art Gallery 4/26/12

This evening started out with a vibe, before we even got there. As strange as that sounds, you could just see “fun” written in the air. Probably written by Sophia, and the fact it was the celebration for William's upcoming birthday!

All the rooms were filled this evening, from the artist(s) on center stage performing for the audience, to those in the back practicing with their mates (yes, I have been hanging around some Brits), or practicing for the first time with someone they have never performed with. All with the intent to “not do the normal”, as Parish my photography guru would say, and to provide musical art to us with that which has not been seen or heard, nor will be seen or heard after that instant snapshot of life has been taken and becomes the past.

Sophia Rapata – you have to just lover her. I am very happy we have met in this time and relative dimension in space (some of you may get that). I love her quirkiness, spontaneity, artistry, her happy-go-lucky self, that finds mischief and fun in everything. We all have our ups and downs, and I am sure Sophia has her’s, however she sure brings the up side from my my side of the camera.

Take a look at the following movie and photographs of Sophia and William this evening, along with the other evening photos to see what I mean . . .

Some people were happy to participate in The Clown's (William's) birthday, and had their face painted.  Here is Brabant Lenting sporting the fashion "red nose" by Sophia Rapata . . .

Ah, what was that lyric?  It was funny . . . you have to love these two.  (Sorry Adrian, the photo I thought I got did not turn out.)

Dave clown'n around . . . nose and eye brows by Sophia, copyright, patent pending . . .

Seems like I cannot get away with anything these days . . . even the clowns are watching out . . .

Ed Smaron

Staircases . . . you have to use everything.  This next photo of Adrian and Dan you see the handrail of the staircase cropping the photo.  I think it is cool . . . not sure about if you do . . .

Like the actors I know, the artists at Paul Henry's fight for their "face time" up front and center state.  Adrian's a fighter . . .

My clown, to clown around, without a frown, that don't get me down . . . :)

Though be ware, admittedly, I think she can scare the bejesus out of you if you let her . . .

Here is a short clip of Sophia, d'n h'r th'n . . . with a little help from John . . .

Lou Shields   Lou Shields   Lou Shields   Lou Shields

From what I see from others, and do believe myself, Lou has become a fan favorite of the gallery. He is the most friendly, non-judgmental, heart felt passion with his artistry, that I have met.

Painter, musician, skate board artistry, rolled up into one package.

Mycul Hanus

There is not a guitar or pick around that is not afraid of Mycul and for good reason . . . he gives it his all every time . . .

Matt Heckler

The gallery has an artist for everyone to enjoy.  For me, Matt is a very good writer and player.

Matt and Mark Biegel have teamed up to provide us with a quiet, smooth sound, that you will not hear anywhere but at Paul Henry's Art Gallery.  At least until Matt gets it recorded and out.  Check this out (click here).

Thomas Matecki, Rich Alvarez, and Melissa Welch . . . ladies first . . .

Birthday boy-clown, or boy-toy-clown if you prefer, time . . .

Let us just say, these guys are good.  But, before we go there, watch this mini mini mini clip (dawned on me to do a vid, right at the end . . . oh well . . . had to laugh at myself so I put it in).

I think I just fell in love . . . with "That Girl" . . .

David clown'n around again, to the beat of some real good music, and with a real good dancer Stephanie Stroh (ya, just found out . . . no wonder my heart was throbbing . . . waitresses at Bugsy's when it was open use to cut me off my Coca-Cola because I was having too much fun on the dance floor . . . and by myself on the dance floor at times).

And we had another good a cappella from this young lady . . .

And another great set from Victor Valdez.  I really enjoy his energy, stage presence, and of course his music.  Before we go to this one and only photo, watch this . . .

David Garcia

There were a couple more, however I had to leave.  My paying job is what supports my photography fun!  Need to win the lottery!!!!!!!
