Paul Henry's Art Gallery 7/26/12

Yes, Paul Henry's Art Gallery is a much better place than being at home.  So, come out and sit a spell with us!  Enjoy the music, friendship, family environment.

Here are some photos from evening.  John and I went out for a short getabout, so you will see some of those photos too.  Oh, and try and figure out where "better than being at home" came from !!!!!!

My friend Lauren . . . she's a cutie . . .

Stephanie, who is a dream if you ask me, brought here parents to check out Paul Henry's . . .

Though Stephanie is my dream girl, Lauren is my peach . . .

These next two photos, Lauren was holding her fingers in front of the camera lens acting as filters . . .

And, more of my dream girl Stephanie . . .

And the dream team . . .

I am dreaming too much.  Have no clue how I changed Lauren into Stephanie . . . good imagination I guess . . .

Gave the cat some face time . . .

And this cat was very good on vocal.  I think he could have put the guitar down and would have been just as good . . .

All photographers need to practice, so when you do not have a lovely female model to work with, you are forced to take what you can get . . .

And the beautiful and funny Michelle . . .

Ummmmm, ummmmmm . . .

Back to my dream girl . . . "You may say I'm a dreamer; But I'm not the only one; I hope someday you'll join us; And the world can be as one . . ."

Since Michelle flattered me with her photographer song, I just Had to go up and photograph her again . . .

I had a little fun with this one, and "I get by with a little help from my friends . . ."  Enjoy Beatles Fest Downtown Hammond 7/28/2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A New "Dawn" 7/13/12

I first saw Dawn Arnold Diamantopoulos' art during the Hammond Art Tour earlier this summer, at Substation 9.  She is reactivating her art, and with a bang.  The exhibit at the Hammond Art Center (HAC) is one more step for her, and an impressive one for us to enjoy.

Here is a photo of Dawn (left), followed by photos of the exhibit and of HAC.

Northwest Indiana is growing in the arts. There is so much to enjoy. As I go into Chicago to photograph the arts, I keep coming home smiling, knowing our region is heading in the right direction. Hammond is becoming a Voice for artists, one that is versatile in acting, drawing, music, painting, sculpting. I do envision people from Chicago coming to us sometime in our future.

Dawn is now one of our own. Channeling her energy onto canvas, so that we can wake up to that energy every time we get up and look at the wall. Okay, so you need to buy one of her paintings to do that. Not a bad deal . . .

To know more about Dawn, please click here. Go check out her work at HAC, and the many other areas that exhibit art in NW Indiana like Paul Henry's Art Gallery.

You can go see her work now at HAC . . .
