Five years ago today was my first visit to Paul Henry's Art Gallery, downtown Hammond, Indiana. It was their 69th Jam then. We are now up to 315! Five years ago today was also when I first photographed people, meeting for the very first time Melissa Latronica, Lou Shields, Rich Hall, Joey Humphrey, Don Taylor, Carl Strain, Brabant Lenting, Gary Price, Lauren Dunning, John Brudek, and from a photo I am looking at back then, Michael Nowak.
I have met many more friends there since then. This is the place to go, to kick back and to enjoy the art, the music, and of course the people. A very interesting place to buy art any day of the week, and to grab a hot pot luck meal on a Thursday night. ($5 cover unless you are an artist with some work there, providing some of the pot luck, or providing some of the entertainment in which case $3.)
The above photo is of Haley, who I enjoy watching her artistry over the years. She acts, writes and plays music, and is a wonderful gal.
Here are some photos of this evening.
